Sassy, I say, is one lucky gal, She has Chatty to love and be her pal.
When the sun goes down, Our Sassy'n Chats, Are reclining by the pool, All comfy and relaxed.
Sassy, I've said it once'n 'll say it again, God was smiling on you, When Chatty became your mama, my friend.

Just rushed to do late minute shopping, Been running through isles, junk food hopping. Bought sausages, pretzels and potato chips, And anything else that’s good for the hips.
Tomorrow night out house will be full, Of screaching males losing their cool. Germany is playing in South Africa, And today a team is playing against America.
Balloons that look like soccer balls, Are on top of the tables and all our walls. The German and the US flag are up on the mast, Oh bliss, soccer is here, alas alas!!!
First our neighbours, friends, and family Will gather and barbeque quite merrily, at 9:00 PM the game begins, Heaven help our home, if Germany doesn’t win.
My mom, who is 89 yrs. old, Will watch with the men; yes, she’s bold. Me? I’ll stick fat earplugs into my ears Drink cold beer and yell cheers cheers cheers!

Thanks for the well wishes, Chatty and Jabber.
The game was terrible to watch last night. The South Africans blow on horns, that sound like millions of hornets. It was so loud, we could hardly understand the reporter. I wonder what will be louder tonight? Our guests or those horns. lol.

Woke up this morning and no alarm clock was ringing, before too long I found myself singing.
Had to sit awhile with my cup of tea, deciding what to do today just for me.
Sassy and I left to go to the park, she ran around playing, showing the big dogs her bark.
Then we went to the market to see what was on sale, Sassy greeted everyone with a wiggle - waqgle of her tail.
After the market we went to the pool, tried to teach Sassy to swim, she thinks me a fool.
It feels odd I must say having nothing on deadline, but I'll get use to it fast, leaving hectic schedules behind.
One thing is for certain, one thing is for sure, in this forum I'll visit daily, I can't resist it's lure.
And that's for sure...

Father's Day
If I'm feeling blue and then think of dad, That hurting heart, suddenly becomes glad.
I recall father's rosy cheeks and his farmer's tan, Before long, I catch a glimpse, Of the world's greatest man.
When I took sick, he'd start to cry, If I excelled, his spirit would fly.
He taught me to ride, a two-wheel bike, And bought me a horse, a car, and the like.
He chose to be a dad, to brother, sis, and me, The man went and adopted, us kids, all three.
