quack, quadrangle, quadrant, quadrilateral

I was sitting in a lovely quadrangle,
Watching a juggler sing Bo Jangle.

Under a large shady chestnut tree,
He danced in the quadrilateral so merrily.

The park was divided into 4 quadrants;
a pond, a stage, cafes and spewing hydrants.

Children played under the cool water spray,
While ducks quacked their songs in the hot summer day.

Fun wow! Words: quack, quack; quadrangle, quadrant, quadrilateral

Ever visited a medical quack,
So askew, the sick endlessly go back?
Ever heard a doctor, who sounded like a duck...
Quack, quack, quack...
Now ain't that just our luck?

Me thinks medics should setup stands,
Alongside a piazza, square, or quadrangle parallelogram.
Wherever folks socialize and amass,
Be it an outdoor patio, or wherever folks crash.

Perhaps on a trapezoid configuration,
A rhombus, trapezium 'n such,
BE it a cement platform,
Or the fourth of a circle, for lunch.

Any quadrilateral surface would do,
Then everyone could choose,
What sage remedy would best repair,
Ailments, which sicken me and you.

Hope this last poem isn't too harsh; trying to think of a softer
way to approach that 1st line. If I come up with one, I'll change it. Naturally, not all doctors are quacks. I'm sure it's just me and the experiences I've had, which were bad. And I don't dislike eye doctors, Dotsie. I love my eye doctor. Hope I didn't goof here, gals. Just tryin' to use the words provided. Yikes! blush wink crazy

Jabber what you said is perfectly true, in some cases medical people are QUACKS! Of course we know not all are but why not tell the truth where its due, heck its only a poem, and a good one at that!
Oh, and if I could find all caring doctors like Dr. Ross Bregal, I would spend all my time inventing, then nursing ailments, he, he!!!

How about some R words now.

rabbi, rabbit, rabble, rabid

Oh no, daughter got her dress dirty making a mud pie,
And soon we're getting a visit soon from our rabbi.

I am fixing his favorite dish, broiled rabbit,
His eating meals at our home is becoming a habit.

He loves magic in which he does dabble,
Other people tell him its foolish rabble.

Once when only a boy practicing on the Sabbath,
His father screamed at him, as if he'd become rabid.

So now he does magic in secret, with friends he knows he can trust,
Some habits are hard of the breaking, even for a Rabbi when told that he must...

Chats,
I figured Dr. Ross Bregel was caring and warm, because Dotsie
is such a sweetie and she always speaks highly of him!

I just hate stepping on any toes. And with PTSD, sometimes I say
things, which after reflection, I wish I hadn't said.

Words: rabbi, rabbit, rabble, rabid

I've heard people say,
Cooked rabbit tastes like chicken.
And this I can tell you,
Without even kiddin'.
I'd rather be a rabble rouser,
Or smell a stinky skunk,
Than eat rabbit 'n wild animals,
Be it, by the piece or in a chunk.

I'm not a fanatic or zealot, I swear,
Don't need the rabbi's blessing,
Or his ritual decreed, I declare.

I'm afraid of contracting rabies,
Some wild, rabid animals carry,
Life is difficult enough,
Without bein' ragingly violent 'n harry.

Jabber, my father was the ultimate example of a country doctor. He was kind caring and very wise. And even my own father, to his horror, didn’t realize I had an appendicitis. It almost burst on the operating table.

I think through internet we can investigate so much our selves, and sometimes even know the latest updates before the doctor does. I have no scruples in telling a doctor what I have investigated, and that he should consider other alternatives. Frankly, most of them don’t appreciate it;…which I don’t allow to phase me. The secret is; - change doctors, and keep changing till you find one who listens and really spends time in analyzing all possibilities.

What’s worse than a rabid rabbit ?
A Rabbi would say, “A party on Sabbath!”
And how do you make the rabbit calm?
Give it a rabble of greens at the bunny farm.

Edelweiss3,
What a cute poem 'n crazy picture. Love it.

Of course, you are right. And I think I'll take your advice,
do research when problems arise, and share it with the doctor.
I haven't been to my family doctor in years. But if and when
somethin' goes awry, I'll give your ideas a try!

If anyone new has some R's please go ahead and post trhem otherwise here are the first four 'S' words.

Sabbath, saber, sable, sabotage

Today I wore my new sable coat on the Sabbath.
The other paritioners nearly died.

I felt as though I needed to carry a saber,
Due to their planned sabotage not to my favor.

I never saw so many tree huggers, ones that love all animals too.

And here I am wearing real fur in their presence, I'm surprised that they merely threw stinky poo, boo hoo, hoo!!!
