Do you mean because I put waddle in the past tense? I think that should be allowed. Just as well as making a plural or singular out of a word. Otherwise many a poem might not make sense. We aren't changing the meaning of the word; just correcting the grammer to suit the poem.

Move over X files; here comes the X word trials!
Words: X chromosome, xenophobia, x-ray, xylem
X chromosome determines, specie gender everywhere. But if scientists' used an x-ray, The same results they'd get, I swear. Without a lab, without test tubes, Minus scientific laws and rules, The variety tested would remain, Plus, that testing's advantage, Would be a huge financial gain.
And from xenophobia, I guess I suffer, To some degree, most acutely, I'm leary of strangers of foreign descent, I fear danger quite absolutely.
A xylem conducts plants' water 'n salt, From roots, to stems 'n leaves, Like people, plants have vessels, Which bolsters my reason to believe.

Hey Chatty, Shouldn't we wait for Edelweiss3 to do X? Don't think her contribution has been added as yet!
Edelweiss3, Why not combine X & Y in 1 poem? That way you'll be caught up and with just one push!
Words: Yacht, yak, yam, yank
Yank on the rope, Pull up our stocked anchor, And launch the packed yacht, 'Cause for a ride, we doth hanker.
Yakety yak, don't talk back, The ole folks gripe 'n mope.
What's for lunch grandma? We ask, as we wonder. Oh, now I recall when she moaned, Baked yam, pineapple 'n ham. And now I hunger for home.
With a strawberry smoothie, In everyone's hand, We'll glide down the river, with glee, The ole pros, their new clan, The kids, and hubby 'n me.

X chromosome, xenophobia, x-ray, xylem yacht, yak, yam, yank
Two chromosones got together, and one asked the other, “Where’s your partner?” “You mean my X chromosome?” “ Oh” “Y sometimes you lose some chrom.” “And then you win-some.” “No chrom-o-some.” “Oh.”
Hee hee…I made up this joke. Can you tell? Hey gals, I got desperate. Now to the rest of these nasty words:
I developed xenophobia while stationed abroad, I’m ashamed to admit it, please forgive me, God. It developed while x-raying a 1000 yr. old Mormon I swear his veins looked like a part of a xylem.
And now the next batch…
yacht, yak, yam, yank
The captain of the yacht groaned at his cargo Cause his yak needed yam, it was a trade embargo. So he steered to Portugal , where the yam grows wild There he yanked it out; now on the deck it’s piled.

I didn't feel skipped over, chatty. I just jumped in, like always. After the Z words, I need to take a break...you girls can plough on without me, whatever. But with this new commission, I hardly have time to pee... and instead of that, I come here and right a poem. Good grief. So here are the Z words...my poem comes later: z-list (noun) : a list or group of individuals of the lowest level of social standing or professional achievement The local gossip columnist's stories are very boring because he only writes about local, z-list "celebrities." Submitted by: K.A. Hoffa from Pennsylvania on Aug. 15, 2008 17:03 zacrete (adjective) : 1.good and bad 2.two parts This world is zacrete Submitted by: Anonymous on Jun. 22, 2007 14:24 zam (verb) : to smoothe ice in rink with a zamboni Between periods of a hockey game, Jim zammed the ice.
