Sure, Eagle. That's fine.
Words: rainbow, line, string, cool
Rainbow Poems
Must be a string of poems, Talented poets have done, Rhymes penned 'bout rainbows, Of heavenly design and Beauty second to none.
Lyrics that rhyme, line after line, Poking emotions each 'n every time. Proding some giggles, Or an occasional sigh, Poems so cool 'n clever, They'll make spirits fly.
Next, keep it goin', don't ya think!

Rainbow, string, line, coolJust a quick line to let you all know, My life is colourful, like a pretty rainbow. The reason being, my childhood friend from afar, Has come to visit for a week from America. We have been friends since the tender age of nine. Now she’s 58 and I’m 59. We got squiggly crows feet around our eyes, Our hair is shorter and we use the same dyes. But our humour hasn’t changed in all these years, Its cool entwining our arms, while laughing fun tears. A string of memories, coloured red, blue and yellow, Have filled this time with friendship; sweet and mellow. Reminiscing of long lost by gone days, Bring back vivid visions that were lost in a haze. Strings of childhood pictures find their place again, Which I will cherish in my mind and hope they remain.

I took my baby by her small hand And grabbed the Crayons from the TV stand We sat ourselves down, knee to knee To color together, just her and me
"What should we draw?" I asked my child "A rainbow, Mom," came reply with a smile How nice, I thought, as we began Choosing colors wisely for our curving strand
I watched as she drew the very first line How small her hand looked up against mine But it didn't stop her, as string by string She intently drew the entire thing
I looked at her face, which registered glee When completing her task, she knew she'd pleased me My pounding heart tried to leap from my chest As she jumped in my arms and put her head to my breasts
Her skin was smooth and cool to my touch How in the world could one love so much Like the promise for Noah, I knew I was blessed With my own little rainbow, her head on my chest

I just needed to let my fellow poets know how I loved your poems. Favourite rainbow lines from my favourite poets: Chatty; …rainbow on a string And ….a RAINBOW after a summers rain. Jabber; It isn't fair, birds fly around, And leave me standin', Down here on the ground Eagle Heart; A rainbow full of colour Stretched bright across the sky So close it touched my forehead It was joyously sublime Gims; Her skin was smooth and cool to my touch How in the world could one love so much Like the promise for Noah, I knew I was blessed With my own little rainbow, her head on my chest

EW, here's the fav from yours: But our humour hasn’t changed in all these years, Its cool entwining our arms, while laughing fun tears. Maybe chick (or anyone else) will contribute.?! If not, I'll offer new words... time, vague, memory, connect

Edelweiss, Jabber, Eagleheart and Gims, I found it impossible to choose one line from your poems that touched me. They all did and do each time. ------------------------------------------
The clocks in the tower loudly chime, they keep us abreast of the correct TIME.
I walk about town on my last leg, No clue what I'm doing, my MEMORY is VAGUE.
If only my thoughts I could project, I'm certain my thoughts and actions would soonCONNECT.
It is quite sad I think to be 93, All of my faculties have begun deserting me.

time, vague, memory, connect
Sometimes my mind seems terribly vague, I see dots in my head But they don’t connect Into thoughts that are fluid Enough to convey, I sputter and spew, but only flustered words fall.
Frustrated Weepy Embarrassed Not me I figure by now We’re all in a tizzy Flustered and hectic Twirling and dizzy
The world’s spinning crazy No wonder a memory’s so hard to find By the time I retrieve it, It’s rolled off to the other side.
Sometimes my mind seems terribly clear I see dots in my head And they DO connect Then I’m aware So keenly aware Of how often I sputtered and spewed and flustered words fell.
vacation, celebrate, whirlpool, hummingbird
